Monday, May 26, 2008. Memorial Day.

For memorial day, I made a picture that shows all the hamster that I have ever had (that I stuck with until the end and also just the ones that are dead). I was originally going to show it in the order of which hamsters I got first, but I'm not sure if I got Olive or Fluffy first, so I did it in the order of their deaths (pretty much the same, except Olive died before Fluff). The order goes from left to right.

If you can't read it, and/or don't know how to read it, here's what it says/which way to read it:

IN MEMORY (top middle)
OF (top middle bellow "IN MEMORY")
SAM (Far left; male)
TATORTOT (right after Sam; gender unknown)
OLIVE (right after Tatortot; male)
FLUFFY (right after Olive; female)
SQUIRT (far right and right after Fluffy; male; Fluffy's - mom - and Olive's - dad - pup/son)
*~May they forever be welded within our hearts~*

I have never really drawn hamsters that much (just once or twice), so the anatomy is obviously wrong. Sam looks like a meerkat, and I think I made Squirt too thin. There's other problems with anatomy and besides anatomy, but I won't say anything else about that.

I'm planning to get this put on a non-rotting wood or non-mossing (whatever xD) stone (most likely wood), but I'm not sure how to do that.

To make understanding of the scenes:

Sam is just looking at Tatortot, for who knows what reason xD, and Tatortot just looks like s/he's in trouble or that s/he's wondering about something or is just curious, or something, I don't know exactly xD.

Sam got a tumor and some black spots spreaded on his chest, turning his chest into a gigantic, repulsive black spot. He stopped being so active, and one day I decided that he must be put to sleep. He was very aggressive that day, that was so unlike him, because he actually was one of the nicest hamsters I have ever had. He bit me (or at least tried to, if I remember correctly he did actually get a hold of my finger or hand and bit me). I had to put on a glove, two gloves actually, because he kept thrashing around and trying to bite my fingers and hands. I put him in the cage, took him to the vet, and asked them if they coudl do anything else for them. They couldn't, so he was put to sleep. He was put into a small metal coffin (my dad bought it) and covered with some kind of a cloth (towel I'm guessing). My mom or brother looked at him first (I didn't know if it would be gruesome or not), then I looked at him. He looked like a small, furry person sleeping. The cloth was on him like a blanket, and there was another cloth underneath his head that acted like a towel. He was buried within that coffin outside of my window. He might have had cancer, I don't know, the vets said the only way to know for sure was to open his body up and look inside of him, and I didn't want that. I don't regret that I never had him opened up. I wish I knew what disease he had, though, and what could have caused it, so I could keep my other hamsters from getting it, but I'm still not willing to know if the only way to know is by opening his body up.

Tatortot's death was an accident. We got him/her at the store (couldn't tell the gender xD). Got it a nice cage. It stayed alive for a month or two, but then I just found it dead. I realized that I had made a fatal mistake. Tatort was a robo hamster. Dwarf and robo hamsters need another of their own with them, or else they will die. This probably proved that theory. Tatortot was buried within an easter egg (a plastic one, not a real egg xD) outside my window, near where Sam was.

The scene in the bottom right might be really confusing if you have don't know the history of the hamsters.

After Fluffy got pregnant, Olive accidentaly died, and so the pups never got a chance to meet their father. Olive died because I accidentally fell asleep with him in my bead. I found him, suffocated to death, under a pillow. I hadn't laid on it, but it must have fell on him.

Fluffy got a little agressive in her old age, whenever I put Squirt in with her she fought with him, and so I had to keep them seperated. She actually drew a bit of blood from his body at one time. We took a night to hold and love her. The next morning she was found dead, turds all around her body. Her body was half-way into the tube (I think her head was stinking out). Good thing her body was half-way out of the tube, or else it would have been a lot more trouble to get her out of it. She was as stiff as a board. I'm not sure what my dad buried Fluffy in, but she was buried outside of my window, just like all the reset. He might have buried her in that plastic bag, but I doubt it.

After Fluffy died, Squirt seemed really depressed (even though sh. He seemed to have cheered up a bit, but that's when something went wrong. Some food got stuck in his pouches someday, and it bulged out like a balloon. He couldn't get it out. Some black dot was under his chin. The stuff inside of his mouth was kinda' in bits and green, like chewed up food or green, non-liquid puke. He limped and tilted to the side because that pouch full of food (or whatever) was too heavy. Took him to the vet, got the stuff out, and it seemed he woudl be okay. Next morning he was found dead, laying on his side. My mom thinks he had a heart attack, and that black thing under his chin wasn't actually from trying to get the food out of his pouches. Seemed he might have had cancer.

And so, Fluffy here is introducing Squirt to his dad, which he had never got to meet.

Also, I tried a new drawing style/technique. This style is hard, but very fun :D.

You do NOT want to know what I will do if you steal this picture. This picture is a memorial, stealing this is of great disrespect. Stealing a memorial is much worse than stealing a character sheet, comic book, even worse than stealing a person's identity, house, or money (eh). Stealing a memorial is basically stealing the dead animal/creature/person's identity, stealing their soul, their heart. It's not somethign you should do. It's one of the worst things you could do. This may not be the wooden/stone memorial, but it's still a memorial, and it's the picture that's going to be on the stone/wooden memorial. Stealing this is the same as stealing a regular memorial. I would rather prefer you not to criticise this in ANY way. If it's criticising the hamster anatomy and you're telling me how I could improve it, and it's nice, then that's allowed. Other wise, it's not.

Awww, this is really sweet. They all look really soft and fuzzy, and I love their expressions.

I love Tatortot's expression and I think the anatomy I got mostly-correct on Fluffy, which I like the way her pose is, too :)
